Anatomy of Getting Hired

Thursday, August 30th
2:00pm - I get an email from a classmate in my cohort that he might be able to get me an interview if I would like.

4:00pm - I check my email and reply an interview would be great.

5:30pm - No message back.

5:30pm - 6:30pm - I scramble to get my classmate's phone number.

6:30pm - I finally make contact and he tells me he'll see what he can do.

7:30pm - I talk with my classmate again and he says they will try to get a hold of the principal early Friday morning.

Friday, August 31
10:01am - I receive a call from the school about an interview. An interview is set for 1:00pm.

10:37am - I receive another call moving the interview back to 1:30pm.

1:25pm - I enter the school.

1:35pm - I meet the assistant principal.

1:40pm - Interview begins.

2:30pm - Interview is over.

2:43pm - I miss a call from the school.

3:06pm - I call the school back and am offered the position.

3:16pm - I am called back and accept the position.
